January 22, 2024, was not just another day, it marked the dawn of a new era. At the heart of this historic occasion stood Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor who gave form to the aspirations of millions of Indians.

His creation is not just an idol but the culmination of countless sacrifies, struggles, and fervent prayers over 500 years.

It was the moment when India witnessed the divine Ram Lalla finally take his righful place in the magnificent Ayodhya temple from a tent.

The sculpture is said to be an art of intelligence; which is why every block of stone is said to have a statue inside it, and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it. In other words, sculpture is an art form in which stones, hard metals, or wooden materials are used to make dimensional art objects.

Any sculpture beautifully reflects its own time, place, and society. It greatly represents a particular history or a story in an art form.

Furthermore, witnessing and experiencing a sculpture deeply stimulates the happy hormone called dopamine, which induces joy, and releases stress levels. Also, this creation of art increases levels of self-confidence and fulfillment.

Our founder and Managing Director Mr. M. Durairaj was deeply passionate about art forms, especially sculpturing. His interest led him to pursue Diploma in Traditional Sculptures and Architecture, under the state board of technical education and training department in the year 1974. Immediately, after the completion of his Diploma, he began his own firm of handicrafts. Stone Carving, Stone Crafts, Natural Figures, Garden Decorative Articles, Temples, Sculptures of God and Goddesses, Ritual Utensils, Lenses, Carved Pillars, Tomb Stones, Flower Vases, etc. are carved with or without the usage of tools. Simple instruments are used by the craftsmen mainly by hands to make handmade articles or handicrafts.

Most of the handicrafts are fashioned in human forms by top-notch sculptors and artists who pay their full attention and concentration to focus on the spiritual forces in order to aid the worshipper to attain mental stability and peace by contemplating the sculptures as mentioned in the Sacred Vedas.

Interestingly, it is strongly believed that God incarnates into the idol in an invisible form giving the idol immense power and spiritual energy. For the same reason, idols are kept very holy and worshiped regularly. If idols are polluted and not looked after, it is believed to have negative forces.
